Kailashnath mahadev is situated approx. 20 km away from Kathmandu. It is popular as the tallest statue of lord shiva. We can see clear view of bhaktapur city from here. It is also good for short hiking and enjoing the environment. There is a good parking space and enough good hotels and restaurants around.

This statue of lord shiva is the world's tallest shiva statue located in sanga. 20km from the koteshwore chowk lies this temple with access of road to the base station. If you are planning a hiking or short trip then this is the best gateway. The statue is 144 feet (44 m) in height, and was made using copper, zinc, concrete, and steel. About 5,000 visitors come to the statue on a weekday, and a significantly larger number visit on weekends, national holidays, and Hindu festivals.

Kailashnath Mahadev Statue is the world's tallest Shiva statue. It is situated in Sanga, on the border of the Bhaktapur and Kavrepalanchwok districts in Nepal, about 20 km from Kathmandu.

The statue is 144 feet (44 m) in height, and was made using copper, zinc, concrete, and steel. According to the List of statues by height, Kailashnath Mahadev is the world's fortieth-tallest statue, four places after the Statue of Liberty.
