Initially called as Kyung-hee Nepal Health Centre and now upgraded as Korea-Nepal Friendship Municipality Hospital, this centre represents collaboration between Nepal and South Korea. Run under Madhyapur Thimi municipality, this hospital provides affordable health care services to local community. Needs to be more equipped and better managed.

Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital was established in 1999,in the name of Kyung Hee Nepal Health Center with the purpose of providing various health services especially to the people of Bhaktapur and adjouning districts. To provide the preventive, curative, promotive and rehabilitative health service is its motto.
Passing the various phase from 1999, it has got the opportunity to be a 50 beded general hospital by the decision made by the bill of right committee under the cabinet of Neplease Government at the date 2009/09/14. To reach in this phase for hospital KOICA has played a vital role by supporting the financial and technical support. i visited here, i did not find this hospital as a welcoming hospital. the administrative department does not seem efficient. even with the upper level. there was a big wait here which is a big drawback specially in a sensitive area like hospital. apart that aspect.. it has hygienic environment far from big traffic pollution, but it needs to get better
