Hukum and his family hosted us for 3 days.
It really feels like homestay compare to any other lodges we experienced.
Hukum is very nice host, but especially very experienced jungle guide. He could found tigers in the jungle in a day when not any other guide could. Maybe a part of luck as he modestly said, but not only for sure Also he is happy to teach us about many things on his country, his village, his culture, and the wild life in general.
The food is not exceptional, it is just good local food. So if you want a cheap, authentic option, jungle base camp is the way to go!

A pretty place ñ hardcore rustic, only for the hardcore backpacker. Not suitable for families. Owner controls water supply. Power on ñ off many times a day. Only 2 rooms are habitable.. A double bed ñ twin singles. Daily safaris are expensive, ask around for different rates. No wifi in rooms except at reception area Ñ good Wi-Fi there.

Wat verouderd hotel. Vriendelijke eigenaar en prima locatie. Ik vond de prijzen wat aan de hoge kant voor de safari’s

Excellent place for a jungle adventure to see tigers, a tour to the Karnali river to watch freshwater dolphins or just to relax in the shade of a mango tree and read a book.
