  We arrived from Kathmandu by overnight bus, were picked up in a car at the bus station, then driven to the Nepal Immigration to get our exit visas stamped. From there we were again driven through the checkpoints to the Indian side, to Immigration to get our Indian visas, and finally, driven up to Kurseong and onto Darjeeling. All very painless, very courteous, and good driving. Recommended.
