A very educational museum which offers comprehensive information about mountains, different ethnic groups and mountaineers. Recently there’s an exhibition about global warming too. Truly inspirational and a must go place for tourists who would like to have a deeper understanding about Nepal.

If you're planning to visit the International Mountain Museum, you will find a lot about mountains and mountaineers. Lot of information has been on display about the rocks, different peaks of the Himalayan range, the people living there, the techniques used to climb and trek. There's a huge section of different studies and theories that has been revealed.
All over, if you are keen to know about the Himalayan ranges and the records by different people, you must visit.

So I came here to see what it was about and thought I will leave it within an hour. I found myself going through all the histories, name of the mountains and all the displays and taking notes and it took me about three and a half hour to leave the place. It was quite amazing and very knowledgeable. There is a souvenir shop which was unfortunately closed. I was wondering about what could have been found there. Overall, anyone who loves the mountains, I will suggest to visit here. Amazing.

Surprisingly quite a sophisticated museum with modern architecture. We walked from Lakeside Pokhara for about 45 minutes which was nice to local neighbourhoods but taking a taxi would be efficient and cheap if you prefer. Museum had great audio/visual and physical artifacts. We got to learn about the different people of the regions, the history of mountains with stories of first ascents, the geology, flora and fauna of the Himalayas and much more. It's a great place to spend a half day learning!

The history of mountains lies here. It is a must visit place in Pokhara. Here you can know all about the mountains peaks around and the story of people who first went to those mountains. U can see the display of equipments that they use during the time and it is such a wonderful experience to be there.

It is a good museum that includes innumerable relics related to Everest and mountaineering adventures. But unfortunately it does not keep all the records of those who lost their lives while conquering the Everest.

Definitely worth the trip. I was there 2 hours. The displays of the mountains in this region was very informative. There's also information on other mountainous regions around the world.

It was interesting to see the climbing equipment used decades ago.

This was one of the highlights of my trip actually.

There is a restaurant on the grounds, but unless you're really hungry, I would skip it and go elsewhere. Very plain and mediocre.

This is one of the 'Must Visit' place for Tourists. And the ticket aren't that expensive as well.
