First Visit in Nepal i meet to mr.Kamal in airport he will take to me his Hotel it is very perfect place according in My budget center of the Thamel we can move anywhere essay durbar square only 15 min walking destination even dream of garden only 5 min walking also arrangement Kathmandu valley city tour pokhara and few days hiking room was very nice and clean also see the Kathmandu valley view and monkey temple staff are very friendly and helpful,free WiFi also inside the room everything good to my stay thanks all Hotel Nepalaya teem..

Decent hotel, with hospitable staff and sumptuous breakfast. Had a challenge one day with the hot water supply. Had to bath in another room which was uncomfortable

I think this is a good place to stay, compare to others around. Cleanliness, silent, friendly, especially rooftop restanrant 🍴 1 minus is some room haven't hot showers, my friend had rent mine. +1 friendly, the receptionist change drink water for me in the midnight, with pleasure :)

When I have been to Nepal I stay at the Hotel Nepalaya. Mr Milan has helped us a lot even in organising treks without any issues and introducing to us a porter named Manoj Nepal who is now a close friend. The hotel is clean with great facilities and restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff (great staff). It's not the Hilton but more than enough for here in Kathmandu. It's location is fantastic especially if you like shopping with easy access to just about anything and anywhere. If you have not organised any treks, come, stay here, enjoy the accommodation and they will help you organise what you want, give advise, and tell you of the good shops to get gear, you will be treated well and not ripped off. Well recommended.
I am a hard critic so 5 is hard to get.

Running low on your backpack tour budget and need to book a hotel at Thamel? Go to Nepalaya. Has one of the best roof top arrangements. Some of the rooms don't have fans, which is the only negative if you're traveling in summer. Otherwise its a good option for an economy shelter.

We booked the rooms in this hotel in advance and it was agreed with administrator that hotel provides a free transport from airport to the hotel. But they don't come without any explanations. Hotel has simple and comfortable rooms with shower and toilet. Furniture is old but all is working. Hotel provide quite good food.
