High food prices and trying to put mire things into the bill. They lie about things we tallked about in advance.

This place is filthy but the restaurant is okay.
I was walking up the street in Dhunce, a mountain town with good streetlife, looking for a hotel. The average offer was 500 rupees but the hustler this place had on the street asked for 1,000. I offered him 400 and ot my surprise he accepted.
He took me in, showed me a shabby room and kept asking if I would have dinner and breakfast -- and then I realised that this is the scam: offer the room cheap but charge three times as much for meals.
More honest establishments just offer a free room on condition that you eat at their place. That's fair.
I had already eaten when I got in (chow mein for $1.50) so I was able to avoid their $10 dinner. I also skipped breakfast and ignored their protests.
I later found out this was one of the first hotels in town but it's now considered old in the sense that it hasn't been done up or even cleaned, in years.
There are a lot of staff there and a busy kitchen. It wouldn't take a lot to simply tell them to get a bucket, some detergent, sponges and cloths and wipe down the walls, the doors and generally clean the place up.
Some much more modest establishments are a lot cleaner than this dive.
But the restaurant is an okay place to hang out, use the free wifi and watch Indian TV.response / report this review -
