Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a sun terrace, Hotel Encounter Nepal & Spa offers accommodations in Kathmandu, just 20.9 km from Nagarkot. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site.
Certain rooms feature a sitting area where you can relax. Certain rooms have views of the garden or city. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. A flat-screen TV with cable channels is provided.
There is a 24-hour front desk at the property.
The hotel also provides bike rental and car rental. Tribhuvan Airport is 5 km from the property.
Thamel is a great choice for travelers interested in shopping, food and hiking.
The restaurant staff was a bit abusive to the cats that would come around the outdoor tables. That was upsetting. However, the hotel was fantastic.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Whatever we needed, they took care of. The beds are very comfortable and some rooms have amazing views of Kathmandu. Great showers and breakfast.
The location is not that far from Thamel, it is just outside of it but you have to cross one busy street. That was not very convenient, but we got used to it. The breakfast could be improved as well, not really a lot of options available. The rooms in old building (not deluxe) are tiny and with not convenient shower. WiFi worked ok, but you have to re-authorize frequently to make it work smooth.
The owners were very friendly and helpful peoples and helped us in multiple occasions. They have new building, with Deluxe rooms and it is much more more recommended rather than Standard rooms. We upgraded our rooms after first night. The shower works great, and rooms are spacious. They also have own larger courtyard with parking and several places to relax. We extended our stay and came back after trekking. Just in case, they are changing their name to "Olives Garden" or something like that.

Had a few issues but they've been sorted. Staff are helpful and friendly. Recently refurbished to a reasonable standard and more up to date. Food generally very good. I've been here several times, recommended to friends.

    Best hotel in town.

Hotel Encounter Nepal is a 36 room boutique hotel on the Northern edge of Thamel, in a peaceful location. The hotel was renovated in 2016 and is offering very new rooms all fitted with air conditioning. The hotel has a huge garden restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your meal. Breakfast is served every morning and you can also have your choice from a wide range of Nepalese, Indian and Western cuisine.

All in all Hotel Encounter Nepal is the best choice for tourists and business travelers.
