It's a part of an ancient palace turned into recreational place. It's has nice park and restaurant plus an art gallery. The place is very near thamel a tourist hub in Kathmandu. Because of this the place is well known among foreigners too. It's a nice place to hang out with friends for couple of hours in peaceful environment. Can be over crowded in holidays

Beautifully designed. Priced at max Rs 200 a person, this place provides a mat to lay on the grass. It makes you appreciate what good design can achieve. A great place for families with kids to spend lazy afternoons.

After dark at the restaurant for dinner was a idyllic experience. Excellent food and service. The garden takes on a whole new atmosphere when the day time crowd has gone. Quite, still and peaceful.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

I like the way it is and the location as well, very good place to hang around with your friends. In the heart of the city you find such a cool and clean place. It is a great place to go and make your mood good in the garden. You can see many people coming here and all of them are in there own world. I have been there with my laptop and written some great articles as well that means its a peaceful place. You can also take your loved ones over there as a pair and its a great place to take your partner.

Loved it. Best place to relax. A bit too crowded most of the time. Located beside keshar library the place is really wonderful. Full of greenery and beautiful structures this place is good choice to hang out.

Beautiful garden in the center of the city. It's surely worth a visit if you have time in Kathmandu. But it's not too big. And if you go in afternoon, don't forget to take rest under the tree.

A great place to be! The ambience is very good, there are restaurants inside and access to WiFi is free once you have a ticket. A ticket costs hundred rupees for locals, thus a fairly inexpensive way to be right in the heart of the city and still get away from the city's usual business.

A peaceful area in middle of the busy streets of Kathmandu. A nice place to spend time with yourself or with a company. You get access to free Wi-Fi within the premises once you get the entry ticket. The garden is nicely decorated. You can walk around or sit on the benches and enjoy the surroundings. A refreshing place.

Garden of Dreams charges a nominal entrance fee (less than $5 for two people), but it is worth the price. It is a lovely place to sit down and escape the noise and hectic crowds of the city. The lawns are well maintained, and if you are lucky, you can grab a padded mat to lie down on. There are also a couple small cafes where you can enjoy some tea and snacks.

A great place to visit to get away from the dirt and the bustle of the Kathmandu streets. You feel like you are in another city with only the sounds of cars and motorbikes honking to remind you where you are.

Make sure you give yourself time to just relax and wander around the garden finding the hidden fountains cozy corners.

WiFi is available for a small fee.

A peaceful little garden to escape the dusty hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. It cost 200NRs for entry and you could easily walk the whole garden in less than 10 minutes, but it's more a great place to bring a book and relax! Lots of beautiful flowers and nice European style architecture to admire.

Great for getaways within the city. Good to take a book along and spend a lousy sunny afternoon, perhaps just what you need sometimes. You could very well do the whole tour in 5 mins, buy the tranquil will keep you in for a while.

A beautiful garden set slightly back from a busy road. The flowers are lovely, the Nepalese swing and just the general atmosphere make it with a visit. A great place for a picnic too! There is an entrance fee to pay.

Beautiful botanical garden with glittering fountains of water. I love how peaceful it is. Great for some quality time alone or with some friends if you both like reading books out in the garden. It is lovely for cinematography and photography but the last time I went there, they didn't let us use the camera and kept our tripod in the ticket counter. As far as I know, the place was built during The Rana Regime. It is the garden of Kaiser Mahal (which is now used as a public reference library)

Very pretty. Not too packed during the week. Lots and lots of squirrels, and they seemed quite friendly and used to humans. If you brought feed they'd probably come play.

A lovely looking cafe inside. A great escape from the rest of Nepal. Easy access from Thamel.

Beautiful, peaceful, calm spot tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. A great place to get away from the crowds and recharge your batteries. The cafe/restaurant was very nice too despite being a bit more expensive than most other local options

Pretty nice place to be to clear your head one in a while. Seems like it's a popular destination nowadays for people to spend a nice time with friends and loved ones. It was fairly crowded and people were busy taking photos at every corner. Definitely a 'garden of dreams'. A must-go at least twice, once in the daylight and once to enjoy the awesome lighting at the dark hours.
