Rooms smelt weird and were very dusty and dirty. Had initially booked accommodation here however upon arriving, booked a different hotel as it was not appealing at all. Although the hotel grounds looked nice, the same couldn't be said for the rooms

Perhaps for the area this facility may be one of the better ones. However when we booked this facility as part of a package from a travel agent in Kathmandu for 2 days we were led to believe accommodation facilities were a little nicer. Load shedding affects this facility greatly. We were there in June and it was intensely hot which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable because we were without any electricity for most of the day and hence no a/c. The resort had a generator that only allowed using a fan and even that was turned only for only part of the night. Sheets were clean enough but bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Wifi was unreliable which was a problem for making plans for the next part of our trip. However the elephant ride and visit to the local village were great experiences. Food was almost always Chinese and of poor quality and we had to pay for cold drinking water (considering load shedding that was understandable). If you go, be prepared for a low frills experience.
