  “Drishti “ in Sanskrit is synonym for “vision.” We believe that everyone irrespective of religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and geographical location has the right to quality and affordable vision care. That is how we came up with the name Drishti Eye Care for our centers. Our eyes are the divine organs that lead us from darkness to light in the physical world. Protecting eyes and providing the gift of sight to the needy is no less than the greatest worship to God. Drishti Eye Care System was initiated and established by a group of experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated and devoted ophthalmic human resources with a mission to provide the most advanced, sophisticated and comprehensive super specialty eye care services to the needy at an affordable price in different parts of Nepal. We also aim to “reach the unreached” through various eye camps and free school screening programs in coordination with the government, non-government and private organizations. The aim of such free eye camps is to attain the goal of “Vision 2020” that is to reduce the burden of avoidable blindness by the year 2020.
