Dhamma Kitti Vipassana is located at Kirtipur near a hospital and a Monastery (Bihar). Despite its comparatively smaller area, the location , greenery, and reclusiveness provide tranquility to the meditators. Being a close observer of the center's development, I am aware of the great contribution and dedication of many volunteers who tirelessly worked for the center's growth. Salute to all of them.

Good place near the heart of kathmandu and best place to meditate and follow vipassana. Recently attended the short course and the place was quite good. Small area but perfectly managed.

The Dhamma Kitti is located on the hill side of Kiritipur facing several suburbs of Kathmandu and is an very small Vispassana center.
The problem about the location is that is that you not only see several suburbs but also listen to the whole city including traffic, construction side, sirens and air plane noise and this can be very distractive while you trying to meditate. Additional the center is still in construction process and has no meditation cells yet.
On the other hand side the management is competent and the teachers are very knowledgeable.
So if you are sensible for noise and looking for a quite place for an Vispassana retreat than better keep looking for an different center.response / report this review -
