Deer Park

  It has religious significance. It is the place where lord Shiva stayed as the deer. This park has roughly 30-35 deers. It lies in Sleshawatak forest which literallt means " forest of lapsi" in sanskrit. Lapsi is found only in Nepal. We are not allowed to enter the park. However, we can watch them. There are monkeys annoying the deers. This park is very near to Guheshwori temple.

  There are enjoyed park. Looks like a very sad place for the animals. The only happy animals are the monkeys. Good place preserved for deers between Pashupati and Guhyashwari. Known as Mrigasthali (मृगस्थली) in Nepali meaning place of deers. There are many spotted deers walking around, grazing and playing and also many monkeys from surrounding jungles also come there. Calm peaceful and nice.

  Good place preserved for deers between Pashupati and Guhyashwari. Known as Mrigasthali (मृगस्थली) in Nepali meaning place of deers. There are many spotted deers walking around, grazing and playing and also many monkeys from surrounding jungles also come there. Calm peaceful and nice.

  Looks like a very sad place for the animals. The only happy animals are the monkeys. The others are trapped behind fences and have to graze between the garbage.
