Chaukot is located at kavre District.It can be reached either by east to shreekhandapur, way to panauti Road or by BP Highway,3 km south of Dhulikhel.

It was conquered by Prithvi Narayan shah on 1818 B.S. At the top of chaukot village there is hill with pine trees which is very beautiful and beautiful mountains can be seen north to it at winter season. School of Kathmandu University also lies here.
