We booked the Kyajo Ri climbing rout by the normal route
1. Geo Treks planed the wrong rout by Machhermo to the top. They planned 8 days in a tent and described the nights in a tent with a kitchen- and toilet-tend. We realized in Machhermo that this route to the top of Kyajo Ri is much more demanding and dangerous than the normal route (only 2 climbers made the summit since 2003). In spring 2 climbers died on this side of the peak. Also different other nepali mountain guides distract us from it. Geo Treks said we have to tried it und we can’t chance the route.
2. The rock falls was too much dangerous so we decided to make another Peak - Lobuche Peak.
3. We had tons of grueling discussions about tour chancing and the additional costs
4. The mountain guide didn’t check our climbing staff properly on the summit day, because of didn’t sleep so well in the night before.
5. We only had 1 guide and no assistant (3 clients). All other groups on the Lobuche Peak had 1 guide or assistant for 1 client
6. Under the bottom-line we had a lot of additional costs, troubles and discussions, during and after the tour and we didn’t feel save during the summit.
