Everyone was beyond helpful and we needed all the help we could get. The owner and the front desk helpers were able to answer all of our questions and gave us very helpful information. They were so welcoming in our time of need.

Friendly owner, homely setting. Great place to stop and rest for your hike to Trolltunga. Decent spread of breakfast. Would be good if there's an elevator especially after a strenuous hike😂

My friend and I stayed here one night back in June. The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond making our stay the best it could possibly be. I really wish I could have gotten the names of the ones that helped us when we needed it. I hope to return one day and relive that experience again.

My girlfriend and I have been traveling Europe for the past couple of months, and we have stayed in many hotels across 11 countries. The one place we both agree we would go back to is, the Tyssedal Hotell.
Positives:
They have the friendliest and most generous staff I have ever seen. The hotel is perfectly located and the closest to Trolltunga. They offer shuttle buses up, and even have spare boots for you to barrow for the day! The food was outstanding, and the view from the dinning room was gorgeous -- overlooking a forge. The beds were brand new, and the rooms are large. They have spare lounges/deck at the end of each hall, that also overlook the forge.
Negatives:
Didn't stay long enough. So much to do there.

Traveling is all about the people you meet. The people that work there will treat you like family, so do yourself a favor and stay at the Tyssedal Hotell.
