We came here with a baby late an evening, and got ourselves checked in and the baby asleep - but the room only had one room so we could not go to the restaurant or ecen eat and talk in our room.

Our foult for sure - but as we talked to the service desk about getting food delivered to our room - she on her own accord took it upon herself to rebook us to a suite free of charge - giving us a seperate bedroom and living room.

    - She also made sure the resteaurant could deliver food to our room (not normal procedure) & they even sent a guy to help us move the baby-bed.

Wow - hands down the best service I ever had 5.5 stars out of 5! :)

I don't know if it because we are attending a dealership meeting that we cannot be served a cup of espresso. Meal was good but with no espresso it wasn't great. Rooms are OK but are a little bit worn down and the rv channels areca joke. Maybe something with Choice hotels?? We tried to cancel a booking at Choice Post in Gothenburg a few weeks ago because of a death in the family but were told that this was impossible even though it was several days before our booking. A re-book was also completely out of the question. I don't think I will be frequenting these hotels in rhe near future. Takk for meg.

Wonderful place for relaxing after a long week, the comforts off the ocean view is just amazing and the service is even better.

We stayed a week off-season (July), great food and spa-treatments. Great fun for the kids ("more" welcome in summer). The kitchen can improve their service though, spent quite some time waiting. Breakfast super.

Really bad service from most of the staff. Especially the butler/restaurant, she was not interested at all to find us a table an claimed the restaurant was fully booked. Later we observed several tables being empty Also the staff at the front desk was reluctant and less helpful when we asked them to recommend a restaurant at Son.

We also experienced only cold/luke warm water when we had a shower in the evening.

Overall this was an extremely overpriced hotel and will not visit again.

Ordered a romantic package: one night with spa, massage, breakfast and lunch. Happy with everything! The hotel is located near a peaceful, quiet harbour. The room was a spacious suite with kitchen (including a fridge and a Nespresso machine) and with sea view. We could enjoy sunset from the terrace. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was good, although not as good as in Støtvig Hotel. Spa was nice, too, but the Magic Circle is nothing special. However, massage therapists were very professional.

Location is a bit remote to get to from Oslo and bus service is infrequent. But it's a fine escape. The docks are a pleasure to walk through and the views of the fjord are beautiful. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with extra blankets by the door, which is a nice touch. Food was pretty good, typical of Norway, with salads, potatoes, 3 forms of salmon, fish, and sweet desserts, as well as automatic coffee and latte machines for business conferences. Couldn't check out the spa but it seems nice. Rooms are small for more than two people, but enough for one.
