We didn't overnight in Solstad Hotel. We actually had lunch, after journeying from the stand of the day, all the way from Olso. We tucked into a traditional Norwegian meal, I think so. Thick mushroom soup, steamed salmon, alongside boiled potatoes, vegetables and sauce, the finale was fruits with cream and for drinks, we had a choice between juices or Norwegian beer. Fresh food. Do I have to mention how fresh salmon is in Norway? Of course not. But for a typical rice eater Malaysian like me, I missed my rice and spicy dishes. No amount of pepper can't, in any way, come close to our Malaysian chilli based dishes.

Mine svigerforeldre lå over på Solstad hotell. På vei fra Vestlandet til østlandet så stoppet vi for og hilse på. Førsteinntrykket vårt var meget positivt. Rent og ryddig utenfor samt godt med parkeringsplasser. Rommet var lyst og trivelig. Ikke minst så var rommet litt størrelse på. Her kunne en familie på fire fint overnatte uten og ha følelsen at man sitter oppå hverandre.
