Here's the thing: we've been to Sjøsanden a number of times over the years, especially when the kids were smaller. But the last couple of times we've been less satisfied. This last time we thought it was suddenly quite expensive to stay here. It really bothered us to have to pay for showering, especially after we had been to many places throughout Sweden/Norway which offered free showering. And though I still love the beach and surrounding woods where I can go for runs, there was something in the air with my interaction with this place and the employees (who weren't mean or discourteous by all means, but it just felt like they were simply doing their job) that left a bad taste in my mouth. Think we will try the campsites up at Evje next year.

Nice Camping Next to Norways most beatiful beach. Anyways the water is a little bit Cold.

Familie/barnevennlig. Ligger sammen med flott sandstrand. 10 minutt å gå inn til byen.

Guter Campingplatz, von dem aus man schnell den Strand und die Innenstadt von Mandal zu Fuß erreichen kann. Während des Schalentier-Festivals sehr voll.

Nice beach, nice apartments but quite expensive. We came here in mid-august and the shop was already closed. Friendly staff but all in all a little bit overpriced!
