6 mins away from the airport but they do not have a courtesy shuttle fornpick up and drop offs. 70 krone per person for a shuttle bus ride.

Nice clean hotel. Friendly and professional staff. Our waitress for dinner was especially good. A bit disappointing that the bar closed very early.

Expensive shuttle bus. Rooms are NOT soundproof, so you can hear the planes nonstop outside and your nextdoor neighbours inside. No minibar or snacks in the room. Only one big towel and cheap shampoo. Restaurant closes early and opens late. Good customer service from the check-in staff is the only major upside here.

This was my first stay in a Scandic hotel and I was very, very impressed. My flight was late, arriving in Gardermoen around 23:00, but check in was simple and efficient. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. I'm pretty sure I was upgraded as the room ( number 474 ) was very impressive, large, very good quality and a very impressive bathroom. The overall cleanliness was impressive. I had no problem in sleeping, the bed was very comfortable.
I had one of the most wonderful breakfasts too. The choice was incredible, the quality was extremely high. I liked that there were typical Norwegian items available. It's always good to try new foods. There were even gluten free items. Special compliments to the scrambled eggs, they were perfect! Good colour, good taste and not watery. Being British I really appreciated having HP sauce to go with the eggs. Checking out was very simple and again, the staff were very helpful. We took the shuttle book back to the airport, but the receptionist said we had just missed a bus and we were told to take a free coffee while we waited for the next bus. In summary, a very, very good experience.
My only concern is that even though it's opposite the runway, you can't walk there. Tryt and get the airport shuttle bus, which is 70 kroner. Be warned that a late night taxi for the several minute journey leaves little change out of 300 kroner, not cheap!!response / report this review -
