A good location, friendly staff and perfect beds!
Nice lobby and dining area, though the food wasn't the best quality. The hallways and rooms are very tired looking. Hard to believe we were in the 'new' wing. The restaurant was great.
Outdated bedrooms, a travel back in time to the 70's. Bed was comfy, good cleanliness, very nice breakfast and lunch buffet, good location in the beautiful city center of Bergen.
I had booked and paid in advance for two nights single room (21st and 22 august 2017) but when I arrived at the Scandic Neptun hotel, the receptionist informed me that I would not get a room because the hotel is overbooked !
I was redirected after about an hour of waiting to another hotel of the same network, Scandic Strand, where I received a room whose window could not be closed and which was placed next to a generator that created a very disturbing and persistent noise. I was again obliged to request the room be changed so I arrived in a relatively decent room only at 2 am.
Unacceptable situation that reflects a very poor management of Scandic's hotel network, focusing only on profit and not on the service's quality and customer's satisfaction.
The food was great, plenty of variety available (meat, fish and vegetarian). The rooms are very good, the hotel is filled with art/paintings and other decor. The people are very professional and nice. I recommend!
Neat and clean hotel, close to the Court house, the fish market, torgallmenningen, Fløybanen and all other downtown sights. No refunds when booking with third party service, could be more flexible.
Located at the city center. Very nice staff and big room. However, it was cold inside the room.
Good location and good service. Decent food at the restaurant. Some rooms are a bit old, but some rooms are also refurbished. Easy access to central Bergen.
It is a great hotel located in the center of the city of Bergen. The "Bryggen" and the Tourist Information Office are just 5 minutes walk from it.
Besides the tidiness of the hotel, the breakfast are plentiful, including lactose free and gluten free products.
Totally recommended!
Amazing food in the free breakfast, beautiful lobby. The room itself is small, but efficient, with a private bathroom. It felt stuffy, so opened the windows. No screens, so the open window = a fly in the room, who buzzed my head all night. Temp hard to manage, no air conditioning, but will cool down with the "ventilation" turned down. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, great duvet, but only one small pillow. The phone in the room didn't work, so I called the desk to alert them. Only two small towels, and no way to call for additional towels u less I use my cell phone. It's been 24hrs and the phone is still broken. Otherwise, a nice location, a short walk from the Torget (Fish Market) and great for a short pit stop prior to our cruise.
