Had the seafood platter, very disappointed mussels had been taken off the menu and removed from the platter and replaced with defrosted shrimp, we only had 4 oysters. Not as good as my last visit, not impressed. The platter was 1200kr for 2 and was not reduced despite it missing items. The staff are always fabulous and were very apologetic, not sure if i will return though as there are some great alternative restaurants that have constant high standards.

The hotel is very nice, located in a calm sound, right on the water. There's a small beach right next to the hotel, and "the world's end" (Verdens ende) is only a few kilometres walk away. Stayed in a large, modern two-storey cabin with several separate bedrooms, two baths, a large living room and kitchen, and nice balconies facing east and west, to catch the sun at all times. Quiet and lovely place.
However, and this is a MAJOR problem, the food was simply terrible. I'd award less then one star for the food that was served at lunch and dinner. (of course, since there's a kitchen in the cabin, you can always bring and cook your own food. Just be prepared.)

Beautiful location and interior with ample views of the sea. Only real drawback is the food, which is pretty bland (very tasty bread, though!).

Only been here in the summer. They have good food, but in at a Norwegian price level. Never used the hotel only eaten here. It can be a bit boring too.

Very good location. Okay stuff. There is no elevator for the 2nd and 3rd floors. I still can recommend this hotel. Now we learned the hotel and surroundings, will be better prepared next time.
