Amazing place to loan the books. Many events. Språkkafe for those som vil snakke norsk :) great opportunities to come and embrace. And friendly people to help. And, btw, impeccable ice cream :)
It's cozy, there's enough light. There's also a sewing room and library users can borrow the sewing machine. I like the music room: it's a good opportunity to play with some instruments.
But not enough tables/desk to study on. It's mostly parked.
A great library!
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. It's a great place to sit down and get some worke done, and there is a multitude of interesting events arranged on a regular basis.
I love this library. Its more like a community center than a library. The kids section is super cozy and they have a pretty big selection of children's book in English & other foreign languages. We especially enjoyed the coffee shop on rainy days.
I came here to kill some time and read in the morning before the museums opened. It was quiet when I got there with plenty of seating on the first floor. By the time I left it was pretty busy! The second, third, and fourth floors are reserved for people with library cards I believe. The movie theater is also in this building.
Nice library.
A very good place to hang out with friends, or read alone and study. Though this place is very busy at times, it has a good selection of books and comics.
+ nice place to hang out or take a break
+ free wifi
+ free board games available to play
- toilets are not free!
Modern house of culture with an open style library, and cinema. Free newspapers, magazines, and use of PC.
Great library!
Stavanger's library has a great selection of books and other media suitable for all ages. Also the building has a store, a cafe and a cinema within it.
Well functioning, fully automated library and good selection of books in many different languages.
Five stars to the Music Library! You can play piano here.
