If you’re in the market for fish, there’s no better place. The fish market in Trondheim isn’t huge, but there is a ton of flavor packed into the small space. There’s a bevy of fresh and smoked fish available right from the counters. There’s not only fish, but also a great variety of shellfish there too from crab patties to live lobster. The staff is also super helpful if you’re not sure what or how much to get so don’t be afraid to ask.

What a treat to have a herring burger in the fish market. I loved the atmosphere and the food. Perfect place to stop after a boat tour of the fjord.

Genuine sea food market. The oldest in Trondheim as it's been around in 100s of years. High quality food.

A good fish market, but also a quick-service restaurant. The menu is limited, because it offers all it needs to. The food is really wonderful. Order at the counter, and a server will bring it to you. The staff is really very friendly and ready to answer your questions.
