Looks very beautiful but it was closed at 3pm and the opening hours said its open till 4pmthats sucks

Less than 20 minutes round trip detour from main route from Låtefossen Waterfall to the south. Worth a stop unless you are in a hurry.

Die Stabkirche Røldal ist klein und fein und ein wenig abgelegen. Wer aber in Ihrer Nähe ist, sollte einen Blick wagen. Für einen kleinen Obolus, der zum Erhalt der Kirche dient, kann man diese kleine Schmuckstück von Innen besichtigen. Auch der Typische Friedhof , rund um die Kirche, mit seinen uralten Gräbern ist sehenswert.

Very nive Stave Church, especially on the inside. For Norwegian standards, the entrance fee is not too bad. And if you want, you can get a detailed explanation by the friendly and knowledgeable guides.

Beautiful and old wooden church. We enjoyed a christmas service here and felt very welcome and warm.
