Excellent serviced hut. Great accommodation and facilities. Food is a little pricey, but that's because it's a little out of the way, touristy and it's Norway.
A nice DNT hotel with cathering etc. Prices where a little too high to stay overnight but the food was perfect and a treat after the Pulpit.
As many thumbs up as possible. Staff, accommodation, rooms, lounge, breakfast, view, atmosphere, hiking experience.
Hiking experience during season is usually shared with loads of tourists being dropped at bus stop close to hostel. Make the best of it. Can be funny though.
Well worth the two hour hike. The view is amazing. Best to come early as it gets even more crowded after noon.
one of the best experiences in Norway - we informed the hotel staff that we will be arriving after midnight. They advised this was not a problem, and they would leave room keys at the front desk. The hotel does not have a live person after 11pm - but they left the keys and note at the front desk for us (a sweet touch). The room was up on the 2nd floor - small but cozy; the bathroom floor was heated which was perfect. We had a room with the lake view, the breakfast was delicious and the restaurant area had the most amazing view. The hotel is situated perfectly for the Preikestolen hike - and can be considered the starting point. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area - whether or not plan on hiking.
