One of the oldest woodn churches in Norway is still active there. Even if the original interior decoration was removed by the "Reformers" and some rather strange modifications have been done to the original architecture, the church still has it's dignity and it's overwhelming aura. A great place to stay for hours

A small but magnificent stave church in the fjord. The church has several farms surrounding it selling different merchandise. The church may be reached by taking the ferry over the fjord or driving around on the road. There is a short walk from a parking lot to the church, but is well worth it if the weather is nice.
