Nice place for afternoon drinks. Kicked out at 4 pm to make way for dinner guests
Best food i had in a long time. I was very impressed. In my top 5 of places i have eaten. Absolutely excellent.
Score: 55/100. Food was so so, menu was boring. It was also very touristy, which is of course no fault of the restaurant’s. Booking was clearly unnecessary and didn’t get us a nice table. By far the most interesting feature is its grungy location in the east of the city. From the city centre, go to Brugata, then follow it all the way as it changes to Grønland and Grønlandsleiret. You’ll see a completely different facet of Oslo.
Always a nice place. Good value for the price. Nice selection of beers.
Doesn't have good vegetarian options, and they don't have vegan options at all.
They serve traditional Norwegian food, in the range of meats and fish. The food isn't very flavourful, but if you enjoy simple and good-looking dishes and/or cultural dishes this place is for you.
Cozy and laid-back atmosphere despite the fancy looks. The music is quite chill.
The chandeliers are beautiful, and the red velvet curtains combine well with the rustic wood interior.
If you're not looking for the food but rather the experience of sitting here, I would recommend a starter or a lunch dish.
Olympeb used to be a very brown and worn-down place, but is now very modern and glorious. It was the first place in Oslo to turn and old place around - with much success. This place is ok for a quick beer or glass of wine, but also as a venue upstairs. Good food.
Decent food. Good selection of beers. Ample seating. Good for larger groups.
Great food, atmosphere and service. This has to be a Oslo favorite for a mid-range lunch/dinner. Be sure to try the steak tartare.
We were looking for a good restaurant offering Norwegian food in Oslo Central and Olympen was the closest to our location. We had one of the three course meal they offered and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We liked the ambience of this bar/restaurant with their chandeliers and walls covered with one painting per recess. The service was not extraordinary and the toilets were clean.
The food is very good. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the quality. When we ate there one of the waiters seemed angry and just kinda scoffed at us. At first he wondered what kind of beer I wanted and I asked for something easy, but got a sour harsh type. After that he behaved strangely. He tried to take away our water (we had to protest) and was just unpleasant. I've eaten there many times before and been very happy but this time it was not the best experience. Will go there in the future, but I'll wait a while before I go back. Other than that it is a very nice place!
