Really interesting exhibition, as others have said the emergency evacuation simulation is really lifelike, trying to find your way out in the pitch black with alarms going off is quite frightening! Also very much enjoyed the main room full of large scale models of assorted rigs and the old drill heads worn down after use. Well worth a visit.

This place is big enough to be interesting and small enough to fit in a few hours. You can easily get there and it tells the story on oil and gas from start till end. It is telling the Norwegian story but is generic enough. Great place to visit with kids too.

Great interactive exhibition. Recorded for all: adults, children and grands as well. Do not miss escape room and try yourself with interesting exercises related to subject and final quiz as well. Great fun for entire family. Allocated 4 hours at least to rely enjoy the place.

Very good informative and balanced museum. Coming from London, any entry fee makes museums expensive but at over £10/adult this one really isn't all that great value

Great day out. Visited whilst in port on a cruise holiday. Went in prepared to order tickets in Norwegian but then got completely lost when they thought I was a native speaker. It was very funny as my blank look resulted in a 'oh are you English, you're Norwegian is very good!' the museum was great for all ages and everything was available in both Norwegian and English with a good mixture of items to view.

By far the best and most interesting museum in Stavanger. You can easily spend a couple of hours there, either just grownups, or with children. The only downside would be the entry fee, which is a high compared to other museums.

Pretty interesting museum, with good explanations, interactive activities and great infrastructure (parking lot, restaurant, lockers etc.). Bit pricey, but that's how it is in Norway.
