We would recommend to take a walk to the glacier and take the boat trip back. That feeling was indescribable, it is like having a giant nature air conditioning blowing on you when the wind breeze.
TIP: do not walk too close to the glacier during summertime, glacier in motion
Did the full blue ice hike here. A really memorable experience. Highly recommended
Great outdoor place. Neatly kept. You can still walk straight up to the glacier. Please stick to the rules though and respect this glacier as it's shrinking fast.
Amazing place to go and hike. Just one note, which is good to know in advance: the small boats on the lake cannot be payed with credit card.
Impressive landscape. it's an amazing view to see the glacier's blue coloured ice. We made a guided glacier walk which was great and a unique experience. Also the near Breheimsenteret glacier museum is very interesting.
Really nice! 30 minutes walk through the rocks.
Great place. Easy access. Highly recommend to avoid the boat and make it on foot.
Absolutely worth the visit! Stunning blue glacier!
Stunning. Our hike with Jostedalen Breførarlag was exhilarating, but also felt safe.
This place was spectacular. You can walk upto the front of the glacier or go by boat. I would recommend walking, because it's not that hard and it doesn't take longer than an hour (about 45 minutes). It gives you more time to enjoy the environment😀. Not only the glacier itself is beautiful, but also the surrounding mountains, the glacier lake and the waterfall!
