We enjoyed an early evening meal in this cosy and welcoming eatery.
Local fish with vegetables and new potatoes and local meaty mussels and chips - delicious!
Well worth a visit!

One of my favourite places in Bergen to have a beer and a chat. And maybe some food, too. Upstairs is a nice restaurant, but the bar downstairs is the real gem.

I reserved a table for two - I wanted to invite my girlfriend for a nice diner at the end of the week. When we entered the restaurant we were shown a table without the personnel even asking if we like it. The owner is German. I guess that's where the lack of basic customer handling skills comes from. We didn't like the table and asked if we could get another since this one was at the exit where the waitresses come out with food - not the best spot for a romantic dinner. We were explained in short and without any desire for discussion that there are no other table available and if we don't like it we are free to look for another place - which we did.

In contrast - we went to a Thai restaurant afterwards. The difference in the service was huge. First thing the waitress asked us was if we like the offered table.

Great little pub, inexpensive and casual (downstairs in the basement). The restaurant books up, but the bar serves food as well. Their house beer is fantastic, dark and malty.

Lovely place in Bergen for both food and drink. We went to the downstairs bar where there is definitely a more local feel. Great drink selection and has a bar menu for downstairs (cooked upstairs in the restaurant) which was gorgeous! Didn't eat upstairs but can only imagine based on the food we got in the bar it would be excellent! Highly recommended!
