Mardalsfossen Waterfall

  The continent's tallest is Vinnufossen, an elegant giant, fed by the Vinnufonna glacier, which drops 2,820ft (860m) in central Norway, 330 miles north-east of Bergen.

  Tok av fra E136 ved Brue og kjørte anleggsveien opp på fjellet. Syklet en drøy mil langs Storvatnet i Sandgrovbotnen i flott høyfjellsterreng. Passerte stedet hvor Mardølaaksjonen pågikk i 1970. Gikk det siste stykket fram til der Mardalsfossen kaster seg ut i et tilsammen 705 m høyt fall ned mot Eikesdalsvatnet. Storslåtte omgivelser og suveren utsikt.

  The Mardalsfossen is certainly a visit worthwhile. It is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Norway and it only needs a short walk.
  
  In 20 minutes from the car parking you will have a great view on this two step waterfall with the tremendous height of 705 meter.
  
  The Mardalsfossen is a regulated waterfall and will only flow in the summer months (from 20 June-20 August).
