Fantastic sculptures. Great place
Awesome place!! If you are on a Hurtigruten Ship, this is a must!! Hand carved sculptures are amazing and staff is friendly. A little pricey to get in but you get one free drink!
This place is undeniably fun but I also consider it rather overpriced and the artistic content of the ice carvings is fairly low. Many of them look to have been in place for a long time and as such much of the detail has melted/broken such as the mermaids arm in my picture which is severely withered.
A unique experience yet disappointing and over priced. There is not much for tourists to do in this town, so this may be your best bet if you are stopping by for only an hour or two. After putting on some cold weather gear you step into a large room several degrees below freezing. They give you a glass of sweet berry wine in an ice cup. Then you are on your own to wander around old, or poorly maintained ice sculptures. Nothing very interesting, or fresh. Many look like they have been melted and refrozen a couple times.
Best feature : the ice slide.
Worst : the low light makes it hard to see the sculptures - which may be a good thing considering the condition of the art.
Definitely not worth visiting a second time.
It's simply a room with ice sculptures. It's a good experience, just not a good ratio price-benefit.
Overrated and overpriced
Good value experience on a short stop from the Hurtigruten ship..could be better signposted as it's in a dockside warehouse!
Nice and special place with beautiful ice sculptures, would not stay there for several hours though
Cold and shilli. Great experience if you havent tried it. But, not a place you hang around for many hours. :)
Well worth the visit.
