A truly amazing zoo and amusement park located just outside Kristiansand. The park has steadily grown over the years to offer a good blend of being a zoo and an amusement park. The amusement park selection is mainly aimed at children but has recently expanded to include a number of locations from Thorbjørn Egners world of children's books that is bound to also interest adults.
For the zoo part the areas for the animals are huge and offers to see a wide selection of both domestic and international animals as well as animals of the wildest nature and more familiar farm animals.
Summer is the high season when all attractions are open, but as far as I know they are open most if the year.response / report this review -

Nice park esp for families with children. One star down for limited opening times for attractions (they open from 10 - 17, but atractions are opened from 11 - 16).

This is one of the most beautiful wildlife parks I have ever visited. Very well integrated with the landscape where animals have great amounts of space.

This is an amazing theme park/zoo that deserves 5 stars if the entrance prices wasn't so crazy high. The animals here are really taken good care of, and you get to see the animals really close up (one monkey actually climbed on my sons head). Travel there out of season to get more sane prices for an absolutely fabulous experience.

Children's paradise. A whole world of exciting and amazing experiences for kids and adults of all ages! Pirates, tigers, rides and fun fun fun ! Highly recommended. Get a 2 day pass as one day is simply not enough!

Gotta be the best Zoo and entertainment park in Europe! The animals here are plentyfull and are beeing taken very good care of by the staff. They have lots of space to move around in. The park also has loads of fun activities for children and adults alike.

Awesome place to either go with your friends or kids. Its gigantic and a lot see and do. Food is 4/5. For kids you can easily loan a little trailer for the kids. It's a fun time and everybody should visit it at some point.

Perfect destination for a family weekend. Animals, rides, kiddie activities, water park, pirate bay, all in one place. The monkey house is very fun. I had never seen such a creatively built monkey exhibit.
