  De rit hiernaartoe is geweldig. Wat een schitterende natuur. Het laatste stuk naar het lighthouse kan alleen te voet worden afgelegd ongeveer 150M en is redelijk steil. Het ligthouse zelf is niet spectaculair. Maar het uitzicht en de omgeving is echt geweldig.

  Paesaggio a dir poco suggestivo, arroccato sul fianco di una scogliera. Anche per raggiungerlo in macchina si deve fare una strada un po "avventurosa", ma il contesto merita il viaggio. Tramonti stupendi in caso di bel tempo ed onde maestose in caso di burrasca.

  long to go back. Still wating for a really bad storm coinciding with me being there. Was doing a lot of photography reading and writing. Also, travelling to Kråkenes was a really nice experience (from Sweden via Lom). Our hostess Bettina was a really nice person meeting us on arrival. The 5th star is missing because there was no storm as a reminder to those whose expectations are fixed on bad weather. It might never turn up :0)

  One of the most exciting places to stay in Norway!
  
  I have been to Kråkenes lighthouse several times but this is the first time I did an overnight stay at the lighthouse. This is one of the most exciting places to visit in Norway! I have been here in hurricane with significant wave height around 20 meters and it’s a tremendous experience to stand at a safe distance from the foaming waves studying the frenzied ocean. This time the weather was so nice that it is really hard to believe how it could be in stormy weather. My wife and I loved the beautiful sunset in the ocean and the strong experience of pure nature and deep recreation!
  
  The Stormhouse which is situated about 70 m from the lighthouse offers five double-rooms in total. Two with their own bathrooms and three with a shared bathroom. The rooms are comfortable and up to standard. The rooms have a shared kitchen and living room area (see attached photos). You have to bring your own food, sheets and towels. There is also a bridal suite at the top floor of the lighthouse. I will highly recommend this suite if you can afford it! It is possible to drive all the way up to the lighthouse.
  
  Of all the lighthouses in Norway, this is the one which is most exposed to the elements. It also serves as a meteorological station. Hurricane-force winds are regularly reported here. Even standing 42 meters above the sea, waves may reach to the height of the lighthouse itself.
  
  We also saw sea eagles from really close by during our stay!
