I have very mixed feelings about our stay, unfortunately. When we came here we didn't know about the bad reviews. But we quickly made a bad impression ourselves. We arrived in the evening, in the dark. The receptionist suggested taking the B&B room and we did. The building is quite far away from the reception (about 100-200m) and the employees didn't care about showing us the way properly. We finally found our room, big window without any curtains at all. We came back to ask for a different one, and we really had to actively ask a very arrogant employee for a different room that had no broken/missing curtains (and therefore some privacy).
A shame to ruin a perfectly fine room with bad service and attitude.
The room seemed very new, very clean and with modern Ikea furniture. The shower was nice and hot, the hot water took a while to arrive though.
If they make up their mind about hospitality they might even save their reputation with the B&B to a certain extend.

I rented a cabin here for 3 days. No its not Hilton of course.. Those who compare against Hilton or similar have seriously missunderstood something. This is a place for beeing part of the nature, walk the nature. Btw, The cabin I rented was big, clean and had a balcony with ocean view.

Cabin is huge, pub nearby has great hamburgers, wifi is fast. View from cabin is amazing. Only complaint is that the wifi doesn't reach the cabins and the pub only opens from 2pm.

Worst camping experience ever. Disgusting bathroom facilities. We could not brush our teeth inside the room because of the smell and the showers look like they have never been cleaned before. Too less showers and toilets for so many people. The only positive thing is the friendly service at the reception.

Nice Camping ground, which is very near to the starting point for the hike to kjerag- roughly 20min by Car). Everything needed can be found here. Little bar/Restaurant on Site. Right next to the ferry Station.

Beautiful place but the camping not the best one at all, toilets, showers and the kitchen available for everyone were in a bad state, very used and not very clean. Tents area had only 2 electricity sockets. So it is not enough for the whole area.

Great view over the Lysebotn fjord. For this place the campsite could be so much better. The facilities are pore, old and durty. If you like to have a nice place on the field you have to settle for a place without elektricity there is only one connection near to the toilet. The other places with electricity have a view over the parking. The reception/pub is cozy.

Like I said it could be so much better

We have come here to camp for the last 3 years. This year when we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by the wonderful staff and were happy to see there are new amenities! The bathrooms have been remodeled with upgraded toilets. The showers have also been remodeled with nice showerheads and tiles. The new tile floors make it easier for the staff to clean, and to keep clean. We've stayed here for a month each time, and in the past we watched the staff clean non-stop, only to have the showers and bathrooms continue to look dirty. I see so many people writing this is an expensive place to stay, welcome to Norway! Sorry, not sorry. The staff here goes out of their way to give every camper great service and a memorable place to stay. We will continue to come here for as long as it's here! They also have the best ice cream in town! ;) You have to purchase bedding if you do not have your own for the cabins and for the guesthouse.

After reading the other reviews, we must have been there on an exceptional night. We camped, and the view and surroundings are stunning. We ate at olavs and got the fish and chips and it was excellent! Showers weren't the cleanest, but with a campsite what can you expect, and the water was plenty hot.
