  Nice camping. Very helpful owner. Great fishing in a river right from the camping shore. Decent price. Lots of space for tents.

  Used this site again in 2016, (and now 2017) Herman just as friendly now he owns the site as he was in 2014 . Same tent both times but changed the bike and flagpole has the new emblem on show. Good base for me to visit the surrounding area but also good for either Hirtshal ferry service , using the high speed to Kristiansand with site being open late at night with help when you arrive or the earlier crossing to Larvik when you have time for a leisurely ride down to the campsite.
  My idea of 'wild camping' meant walking from my tent to the clean shower and toilet area behind me. On site shop has all you may need to restock if camping or using a hytte, fresh food and hot meals available.
  Made this my first stop again in 2017 - back again and this time I spent 7 days here. Days out to Kristiansand and up to Dalen via the re-opened winter road. Decided against my usual chase across the map of Norway or camping, so stayed in a hytte, easy to leave stuff in safety while riding a light motorbike and use site wifi to keep in contact with family back in England.
  New building being added for a larger shower and washroom facilities, site getting improvements which is always a good thing for the future.

  Aardige camping, ruim en veel plaats voor een tent/camper. Net even te weinig douches. Vriendelijke Nederlands sprekende eigenaar. Kleine winkel en bakkersservice. Een minpunt is de enorme muggenplaag begin juni.

  A nice camping at a really nice spot next to the riverbanks.
  The only little thing where the showers. Although they are nice and warm, the pressure could be better.
  Because of that not 5stars. The hospitallity is great, the owner gives you a feel if you're home in Norway
