Amazing views, but extremely thin walls. Neighbors on both sides were easily understandable at conversational volumes
Nice lounge with free coffee and tea. Good view from the roof deck. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Centrally located right by the harbor.
A large and commercial hotel, like this whole village. Good breakfast, rooms with the scent of yesteryear, the bathrooms are renovated but the furnishings are old. The staff gives a good service but this is accompanied by the feeling that you are one of many kinds. There is no treatment for special needs and no attention.
My partner and I got an incredible experience at the Geiranger Hotel! We had been stuck on the road for hours because a road was unfortunately closed. It was the night before the Norwegian national day (bank holiday). After 7 hours driving, we arrived at the hotel at 22h30 instead of 18. We could park very easily in front of the hotel to take our stuff out of the car. It is very convenient. The lady who welcomed us was very nice, friendly and polite. Her colleague and her made us something to eat when the kitchen was already closed It was very good and king from her. We really appreciated it! We spent a very good night, everything was perfect, the room, the bathroom and the view of the fjord from the room was just amazing. The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff was very nice and helpful. We really appreciated our stay and we recommend this hotel : amazing location, excellent staff, excellent accommodation, excellent breakfast.
The hotel dinner buffet was absolutely fantastic and diverse, the breakfast buffet, not so much. The rooms were spacious but for some guests they had no hot water in the morning. The wifi connection is not the most reliable but the scenery is breathtaking.
Great View of Geiranger. Needless to say, go and stay.
Great location, close to everything. Rooms are very outdated, but have great views if facing the fjord. Breakfast buffet is decent.
This is a THREE stars hotel. The location of this hotel is what distinguish it from other hotels. It is close to the lake and close to where all other shops located, two minutes walks. However, it lacks the services that usually seen in FOUR stars hotels, like no safe in the room. It is also hard to find parking in the hotel parking and you have to park in the near by public parking.
BTW, the view of the lake is great from rooms that are facing the lake.
The hotel must have the best view over the fjord. From the balcony you can watch the large cruise ships come in, or leave during your stay.
Our room had a balcony, bathroom and a living area with a double sized bed, a couch, tv and some chairs. There were also a small refrigerator.
The breakfast was really good, with a lot of different choices. The restaurant had some nice dishes, but also some that didn't really taste anything at all.
There's also a nice lounge/bar with a lot of chairs, an outside area and a pool table!
The (small) "city" is only a minute or two away, with mostly souvenir shops, fast food, and a local chocolate producer.
Fantastic views from the hotel. Hotel is very outdated and it takes ages for the water to warm up. Staff was very helpfull and friendly
