Fresh clean room with our own bathroom and shower.

The provide free stable wi-fi that is included for free throughout the entire establishment.

It was a nice change of pace since the place was a little bit bigger than your average B&B with a couple of different compounds, even though it was in a relatively remote and small town. Parking was no problem and also included free of charge.

Breakfast was included in our stay free of charge which was nice. A simple, though nothing out of the ordinary breakfast to start the day off right.

The receptionist waited for us to check in even though we were a bit late in the evening after their ordinary hours. That is very service minded and was appriciated greatly.

We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it.

The building in which we stayed is in dire need of a revamp. The plastic fitting for the light is aging that its starting to compete with the weird orange painted doors. Although I have no problem with making my own bed, I would expect it from a cheaper place, not one that is more expensive than a nice hotel in Oslo per night.
At more than a hotel next to Oslo Central Station per night , this accommodation is definitely not competing in the value for money category.
The was a sigar /sigarette /marijuana smoke coming though the air-conditioning. Reception found the root cause and resolved it. Thanks allot!
The curtains are not block out so those who are sensitive to light might want to either get a mask or look somewhere else.
    The kitchen was well equipped.
The living area looks like something that survived every decade for the past century, the most modern item being the wifi password poster.
The grounds around the buildings were well groomed though the hot bath outside was out of order.
A huge amount of effort and money is needed to make this place competitive with upmarket hotels in the same price range that offer more and better of pretty much everything.
Sorry but I can't recommend this place.

Good service, breathtaking surroundings, basic facilities. Shower did not work well, there was only cold water for a while. The staff left us a few sandwiches and juice for we were heading out so early we didn't have time for their breakfast, that was nice.

Cheap and cheerful option in the Hardangervidda region. Excellent buffet breakfast and extremely helpful staff. I visited in July 2016 during which time the road between Odda and Lofthus was subject to closures for maintenance - check before you travel.

An active school converted to a hostel. It comes equipped with all the necessities as well as a few luxuries (saunas etc). The hostel can be slightly inconsistent in experience, for instance some rooms will have access to full kitchen facilities, whilst others will only have a kettle, requiring you to walk a sizeable distance to use one. The hostel has good connections to nearby hikes such as trolltunga, with a frequent local bus connecting to Odda and tysdal. The free breakfast is good with plenty of food for everyone. The location is very scenic, with walks to large waterfalls and the local fruit industry.

Lovely hostel with twin rooms that are quite large. Breakfast is fantastic. The hostel even has a sauna! If you don't drive, getting to trolltunga from here can be difficult, but you should try and get a lift from someone else in the hostel who is going. The reception staff are super friendly! Lovely location with some easy and pretty walks around the waterfalls surrounding. Most beautiful bit of the world!

Exactly what you want from a international hostel, good location between Bergen and Trolltuga, clean big rooms, clean bathrooms and equipet small kitchen for guest. This is originaly a collage that they rent out the rooms during the summer. Very good norwegian breakfast, matpakke is 50 kr and one of the best cup uf coffe I have tasted so far on my vacation.
