One of the best parks I've been to, great sights, amazing sculptures, lovely view once you get to where the column is. The cafe does one of the best chocolates I've had in a very long time. We went during the last weekend of November and it was cold, so part of the lake was frozen over and the steps were a bit slippery, but other than that, absolutely loved it. There's an ice rink too which is vast and open.
Amazing statues, beautious park, extensive grounds, and plenty to see. Great for walking tours or a leisurely/contemplative stroll on your own.
The garden is a nice place to walk at especially in the early autumn when the leaves are colorful and the sun is still shining. However, for me the statues were extremely creepy. I missed the descriptions about the sculptures to know what do they symbolize, what is their story. Without knowing the story behind the sculptures, it was really wierd to walk there and to look at the unclothed sculptures doing strange things. It is definitely not a good activity to go there with kids in my opinion!
This is a really beautiful place. There is a lot of beautiful sights to see. The calming sound of the water fall, among other things.
Fabulous park with great world renowned sculptures by Gustav Vigelund. Been twice and there's lots to see and photograph. Has a good cafe year round and an ice rink in the winter. A river runs through the park and there are some nice plantings. Oslo Museum is on site and the informative Vigelund museum is nearby. The number 12 tram will take you from the centre to Frogner Park
Really nice place to visit but first try to search the history of the gallery
Beautiful, interesting, but a little weird. Weird can be good, check it out!
The best thing I saw in awhile. A must to see and to feel.
Contains one of my favorite pieces of art in the world. Amazing statues by Vigeland, and be sure to visit the nearby museum.
Beautiful area, one of my favorite places in Oslo. It's not exactly an attraction, or even a place people where should expect to be amazed. It is however a great place to relax, walk, run, bike, and forget you are in the middle of a city. The rivers and waterfalls are also very pretty, complete with ducks and other birds. In the summer it's very popular with people picnicking, so keep that in mind, it can be very crowded during the peak summer season.
