We booked a glacier hike here as it was the only one that said they went down to age 7-8 that we could fine near our destinations in Norway. The staff didn't bat an eye at the fact that my kids were the only two kids in the larger group. The guide/hiker ratio was good, enough that one guide was able to split off and lag behind with us when my daughter couldn't keep up with the adult pace. They never made us feel bad about it, and reiterated to the group before we left and to us after we split off that their goal was to get the right fit for everyone so it was a good experience. We ended up having the worst weather for a summer hike our guide had seen and had to cut it short; our guide (Thor Bjorn) was amazing at trying to help the girls out, offering my younger one walking sticks and an extra jacket, and getting involved in a brief snowball fight as we finished up the hike. He even went above and beyond, bringing us down to Jondal before the bus so we didn't have to wait in the hut and could instead wait in a warm cafe. He was clearly knowledgeable about the area, pointing out tidbits that were interesting for my kids as well as my husband and myself. We definitely want to go back and try it sometime when the weather isn't so bad!
