did the classic Norway in a Nutshell, very nice itinerary, 100% recommend from
Oslo to Bergen with 1 night in Flåm. We did the trip with a dog, it is absolutely possible to do the trip with a dog as the bus 950 from Gudvangen to Voss is currently operated by Skyss Bus which allow dogs on board their busses. All trains/ferries allow dogs too. Great adventure
During my short trip to Norway I took Sognefjord in a nutshell tour from them. Everything was so smooth and had a very nice tour. Fjord was magnificent. I enjoyed it. Thanks to all transport providers and the cruise as well. Thank you .
Unfortunately we were unable to travel to Norway due to COVID19 travel restrictions. Despite this Fjord Tours have been nothing but professional regarding these circumstances, clearly outlining the options available to us. They were able to promptly organise a refund, despite this difficult period for them. We will be sure to visit Norway, and look forward to finally going on a tour organised by Fjord Tours. Our thanks to Merethe who has dealt with us over the last few weeks.
Perfect experience to enjoy the fjords around Bergen.
You cannot visit the North Sea coast of Norway without taking a short cruise to see the beautiful fjords along the coast of western Norway. Even though it was August, you will likely still near a coat or warm jacket as you’ll be sitting on the deck, except for the larger cruise ships. There are several lengths and destinations for each tour company, so you can shop around for pricing and a schedule that suits you.
My friend and I returned from our Norway in a Nutshell trip a few weeks ago, which ended up being a very stressful The communication from this company had been terrible from booking to being in the country.
Firstly, upon booking, there was no guidance whatsoever - we rang up for assistance as we didn't know anything about Norway or our options, only to be told to just do everything on the website. However, the website was very unclear and it took about 2 hours to book. Then when we had issues in Norway, the office was closed at the weekends so we couldn't get in touch with anyone.
Secondly, there was the confusing itinerary (transport listed after the destination rather than before) we missed our boat cruise and we also had nothing to do in Geilo because our train wasn't until the evening. So we paid £60 more each so we could get an earlier train back to Oslo. It would have been useful to have some tourist information, being a tour company! No one advised us at the station either.
We were very disappointed as we missed our cruise and had to pay more to come back early as we had nothing to do.
AVOID - much better to plan the trip yourself as there is no "guide" so you're going it alone anyway!
BUYER BEWARE! I booked this tour with this company but unfortunately I had emergency eye surgery and needed to cancel this trip because I'm not allowed to travel for several months.
I contacted all the companies (Airlines, Hotels & other tours) and they were all sensitive to the situation and upon receipt of my hospital stay documentation they issued me a refund.
This tour company refused to give a refund OR a credit for future use and the person I spoke to; Aud (booking manager) was very rude and all she would do is recite "their cancellation policy" over & over like a robot. Very insensitive people that only care about taking your money.
BOOK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY LIKE VIATOR (now owned by Tripadvisor) because they immediately issued me a full refund for other tours I had purchased with them. Make sure they are not using "fjordtours" "Norway in a Nutshell" as the operator of the tour.
really disappointing. they have become complacent and do not even reply to sales queries
