A genuine and unique place that takes care of an old tradition. Lumber transport on water was the only way of long distance transport in olden days. Up until transport trucks took over at cheaper rates, lumbering on water was one of the biggest businesses near rivers, employing hundreds of people. Fetsund lenser keeps this alive in the best fashion with old technology, a museum and a lot of the gritty well worn houses that was in use at that time. They even have working boats on the river and a few times a year the place comes alive and the lumber again comes floating down the rivers to be caught in this large community engine.

Nice place for a Sunday walk.
When here, don't forget to go sightseeing down "The Øyeren Keys" - down the street Øyaveien - all the way to the end. Beautiful condos and delicate nature.
Warning: there are quite a lot more mosquitos here than in the Florida Keys.

Nydelig natur, mange pokestps og gymmer så her er det tumleplass for store og små. På dagtid kan man låne gratis redningsvester sånn at man er trygg i kontakt med vannet, enten man fisker eller går tur på flytebryggene utover vannet. 10 av 10 poeng fra meg.

Fint sted å ta med seg familien. Er du heldig og er der i sesongen, kan du kjøpe stedets gjeddeburger. Enkelte vil ha det til at den er landets beste og det er slett ikke umulig.

Moro for både store å små. Jeg syntes det var så gøy å gå på lensene. At jeg ikke rakk noe annet. Men pappa var veldig fornøyd med utstillingene på land.
