I love both these places. Depending on what you prefer, the upper floor is more upscale with a different menu and presentation. The food is great at both levels.

Went there with high hopes left very disappointed. Had cured reindeer as a starter and sirloin for main course. Starter was nice and that's the only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one. Overall experience with this place was pretty poor. Very overpriced for what it is sirloin looked very poor for 40 euro dish. Two thin slices of medium well done chewy beef lying on top of green beans and stone cold baby potatoes. When complained about cold potatoes waitress took it back to the kitchen were potatoes were halved and deep fried and put back on the plate! When it came to pay bill embarrassing situation had place. Bill came up to around 1200nok for two people. Handed 1500 nok and waiter kept asking "would you like anything in return"? didn't understand what he meant. I though his is offering discount for that terrible main course I had but I said no it's ok. What he actually ment was if we want any change back from that 1500 nok we handed to him or can he keep that 300 nok (30 euro)as tip for himself very unprofessional! I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. You can find much better places to eat in Tromsø for much less money!

Delicious food, tried the reindeer beef which was perfectly cooked and cod fish which was ok, one piece was more dry than the other. Nice service and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience 😁

Lovely food and mood. Not a lot to chose from, but i actually prefer that, because then you know that what they have is all good. A bit too pricey, though.

Food wasn't bad but not the best I've ever had - maybe just the best in Tromsø but it is a small town. Good selection of traditional Norwegian foods like salted cod, reindeer, whale meat and salmon. Portions were large and generous. service was kind of cold. Def make a booking, we saw plenty without booking get rejected.

We went to the under restaurant and it was good. We had the reindeer burger and it was tasty, but we felt a bit heavy afterwards. Service was fine and professional, but not very special. We would like to try the restaurant upstairs next time.

We spend a great time in Emma's restaurant after Polar Halfmarathon competition. I ate the best cod fish in my entire life and I will remember this taste forever. Dessert was also very good. Restaurant is not cheap but is worth to spend each kroner:). I will back to this place in the next year

Had 5 course dinner and welcome drink from packaged tour. Very cosy but elegant setting. We enjoyed the presentation and flavours of all the courses and service is very attentive.
