A neoclassical building made very functional today is possible to use from 7am to 11pm you return the books anytime with automated system the area it's reaching with public transportation big parking space around numerous staffs helpfully and English speaking

Veeeery badly organised. If you're the type of person who likes to browse for books physically then this place is not for you. Very easy reservation system though and chill surroundings.

Oslo's main public library is moving in 2017/2018, but until then you can still enjoy the sight of the magnificent study hall on the first floor. On the ground floor you will find a children's book section, a place to relax and read newspaper as well as a music library. The first floor is dominated by the library's huge book collection, but at the back you will find a makerspace with 3D printers, tools and electronic components. All free and open to the public as well.

A cozy place to study and visit if you love books and libraries. The staff are so welcoming.

Lovely café. It's very basic but great for a budget lunch or coffee stop (12NOK), they have a little salad bar (29-39NOK) or you can get a sandwich or cake if you prefer, or the dagens rett for 69NOK. And it has WiFi! Really nice guy from London working there too. Highly recommend if you're in Oslo on a budget, I wish I'd known about it before!
