Great hike up to where the glacier comes to the falls. You can get to the glacier from here however you can get get close. The trail has ropes and bridges and is suitable for those who are decently physically fit. Wear good shoes. We went at the end of October and a nice down coat, sweat shirt and thick leggings, and wool socks were sufficient.

Hiking trail was really fun and the view from top breathtaking. Was worth every sweatdrop.

Never seen a glacier before. This one is the third biggest in Norway. The climb up takes around 1h 30min. A few parts of it are roped to ease the climb or with small bridges over the ice cold glacier river. You should not try to get to close to the glasier as it is dangerous. There is an ice cold river that prevents you from getting too close. But still. If the river flow eases that is not adviced.

Great hike to Buarbreen glacier tongue. I would not recommend to hike there with very young children (

Nice views of the glacier at the top. Not at all a hike for beginner. Hiking shoes are necessary.

Amazing valley with a great view on the glacier. I haven't been on the top because of the snow, but even from the bottom it was incredibly beautiful.

Take good shoes with you as you have to climb a little bit. There are ropes everywhere to help you. It's a really nice hike. Better go earlier as the place gets more and more popular and the parking lots are limited.

Excellent hike! Parking area well done. With the view of a small waterfall. First the path leads you through an area where sheep graze. Then you come along a gravel path along the river, with a border filled with stone men. After that the walk is more into height. Bring good shoes! The rest of the hike is more rockier. More scrambling. While you hike further the glacier becomes more and more viseable. It's an amazing glacier! So beautiful! During the walk you also cross some rivers. Some have a bridge, but some is also cross with shelves. There was no catering at the parking lot, so please bring your own drinks and food for the lunch! :)

Very exciting trails with climbing, ropes and ladders, but still not to difficult for a family with small children. Great views all the way and you can get very close to the glaciers.

Nice, exciting trail with some climbing parts with ropes, ladders, etc. Scenic views reward you for the exhausting hike.
