Great camping, along the best I've seen in Norway (I've seen many). It's sort of sitting on an island between two rivers that run out in a small delta and then into the lake. It's surrounded by green forrest and steep mountains. There are beavers active and easy to spot in the delta. Also a great fishing spot just like the rivers surrounding the campgrounds.
Near Dalen there is a short route by car that almost guaranties spotting moose.
So Norway at it's best in many ways!
Great camping here on a open plan, grass growing all over. Just pick your spot!
You don't notice that the campground is situated right next to Dalens small city center. Grocery stores are within a 5 minute walk.
Camping here is at a very reasonable rate and all inclusive. No extra charges for showers or electricity! Facilities are clean and in good condition. Same goes for the many cabins here. These are clean, complete and cosy.
It's family run by very helpfull nice people.
Right now, mid-september 2017 the campground is undergoing a makeover. Dams are created along the riverside as per government regulation. The campsite will be extended by the owner with a natural small lake which will provide great tenting spots for next season.
Can't wait to see the results next time we're back here!
Great place but the receptionist was quite arrogant and condescending. Otherwise the single rooms were of very good standard. Bathroom facilities were ok. Very beautiful scenery.
very clean sanitaries, nice places for caravans or tents. Showers, electricity and Wifi is included in price but WiFi is only near reception. One of the best camps we've been in Norway.
Good place! Clean and nice
The owner is really nice - a Dutch man who moved to Norway many years ago. Only one price per night for caravans (NOK 250) but this includes showering, WiFi, hot water in kitchen etc ("all inclusive"). WiFi signal is good. The overall standard of the facilities are OK. You can make your own campfire in designated areas. The surrounding area is very scenic and there's a 1.5 km path you can walk around the small island.
Nice and clean camping spot! Free shower! Lovely Rooms in an extra house with big kitchen and living room. But the owner's habit to talk about his political interests could be to much for some people. (Like me)
Its a good campsite. We stayed There three nights one night in The Beavers house which was because it rained so Hard that evening that we couldnt Face geting The tent up. Beaverhouse ok for a night but is expensive for what you get. and Noise was an issue but it was dry.
when you Charge to camping There's No soap in The toilets or showers. Also very bad wi-fi except in one Place which made Out stay dificult as we were relying on downloaded Maps. But it has a LOT of space, and its a family Camp with Quiet and possibility to find a nice spot With seclusion if that your thing
Very nice camping site with alot of space. Very clean facilities and nice staff. The surrounding is beautiful with alot of wildlife include bever around the island witch the campsite are on. Recommended.
