Beautiful church in a lovely place full of history. Details on the church shows the clear inspiration from the norse mythology.
This is a great place to stop for a visit, and if you have the time you should walk King Sverres trail or Vindhella road that passes by near the church.
Beautiful church in a beautiful setting, not as big as you would think. tad expensive, I didn't go inside as it was busy and for £9 to me was a lot of money.
Amazing old church, easy to find and walk nearby. It was a little stop in our road trip to bergen.
Outside look of the church is very impressive. In reality the church was smaller than I expected. Inside the church you will see some woodcraft, but in my opinion the entree asked is way too much
A must stop if you are in the area! Not worth paying to go inside though, but make sure to walk through the museum in the reception center. Also a great cafe there that's perfect for a quick stop. Clean restrooms and small gift shop.
Beautiful church.. Amazing experience
Beautiful northern church with a couple of nice walking routes surrounding it. Hard to reach if not using a car.
Beautiful church and overall atmospher. Must visit. There's a visitor center with gift shop and caffee.
a great museum, where you can obtain information about the history of the stave church of Borgund. But also stave churches in general. Very informative! Furthermore, a souvenir shop is also included. And toilets present, which are very clean by the way. Friendly staff. Museum is not really big, but big enough. We went here for about 30-45 minutes.
Stave (wooden in Norwegian) churches have their own design and character. This particular one, stands since 1180 AD and is considered as the most authentic among churches of this style. If you are nearby do not miss it. Beautiful and impressive waits to be visited and photographed. Most recommended.
