Best for the unlimited soup option. But their own hotel right opposite is rude.
I like Biffhuset Scarven. The staff is very friendly and the food is exeptolionally tasty. Very cosy place to be with friends or family during long arctic evening with snow fall behind the window and interior of hunter lodge.
If you'r stucked in the past this is the place to come to. High prices bad and boring food. Use your money elsewhere. The whole place is bad. If you should eat in any of the restaurants do not tip.
It's great meat house! Lot's of choice and a nice atmosphere to eat in. Friendly staff make you feel welcome
Biffhuset Skarven is a popular restaurant for both locals and tourists alike and on weekends should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
Dishes are varied and excellently cooked, the staff have good recommendations and will match you with a wine that perfectly suits your dish. It's friendly and welcoming, but definitely crowded. The scene inside could be described as cozy, and very Norwegian to it's core.
My food was excellent, both desert and the main meal. For a main meal expect to pay around 300-450NOK per dish. The food was plenty filling though and absolutely worth it.
I highly recommend the reindeer steak and sausage. :)
Great food. Loved the reindeer steak!
Great food, serving a number of unusual meats. A little pricey but definitely worth a visit.
Good food, good service. I had the whale meat and was delicious. I wanted it well done though but it was ok,
Reservations are mandatory The service is very good.
On Aug.02nd. we were 4 people having dinner at Biffhuset. I have always been a fan of Skarven and the various establishments in the group.
For main courses on person had a Ribeye steak, two thumbs up. Another had The Hunters Steak, also receiving praise.
The last two went for Sirlion of Mutton. Major disappointment.
Lamb ?? The meat, in both color and texture, was like a dry pork tenderloin.
The taste ? Totally tasteless. The waiter who was both efficient and friendly checked with the kitchen, and they assured us that the lamb was local.Judging from the thickness, it must have been king size, then again, I have never seen or tasted lamb like this. Still do not believe this was lamb. Next time I will stick to fish dishes.
