Beautiful place to visit. Lovely waffles and enemies met a friendly Troll
A bit expensive, but nice and quiet place. Would recomend while waitong for the ferry.
Bakernes Paradis is located on a beautyful, idillic and quiet spot at the fjord. Forget the plastic tents and go for the original café. Cosy and charming with a beautiful view! Staff is friendly and easy-going. Just don't expect a hipster variety of coffees and teas. They don't serve capuccinos or anything even more exotic. There's just black coffee (with milk and sugar if you like) or tea. Based on a rough translation of the name, we expected a nice variety of home made pies and pastry. No such luck. Choice is limited but decent quality. So, especially on a lovely day, definitely recommended, more for the location and the atmosphere than for the food though.
An organised excursion from the cruise stop in Stavanger. Lovely scenic journey. Sits on the edge of a fjord. Beautiful views. Wonderful large waffle with strawberry jam and sour cream with coffee. We ate in a large purpose built building designed for these organised coach trips. But there is also a very pretty cafe nearer the fjord with a lovely little souvenir shop upstairs. There was even a visiting troll who was happy to have his photo taken! !
A wonderful morning spent eating waffles listening to heart warming stories
Beautiful place with delicious food. I had a fish soup and coke and it was all 210NOK. The water is free. Staff are super friendly and speak english (not too much, just enough). The food was delicious and it was not crowded at all because tourists do not knoe about this restaurants, locals are the ones who go. Also, great view, perfect after Preikestolen.
Such a pearl - and why did they put up plastic tents?? I hope they can take away the horrendous temporary structures and show the pearl of a place.
